Gift Experiences Instead of Stuff #4: The Ultimate Orlando Summer Vacation

Have you been dreaming of taking your family on an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime trip to Orlando to visit Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando? Today we are pricing a 2 week vacation to Orlando to experience all of both of these parks. In 2017 our family took a trip very similar to this, and it was our best vacation ever! We still talk about it to this day! With so much time to spend we never felt rushed, had plenty of time for swim breaks and naps, and everyone got to do their favorites more than once. It was a long time to be gone from home, but with spacious rooms and food options that don’t mean you have to eat out for every meal, it is possible to actually enjoy your family for this long.

This vacation is priced based on a family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids (ages 11, 9,and 6)). Included in both of these options are 10 day Park Hopper Plus tickets to  Walt Disney World and 3 park, 3 or 4 day park-to-park tickets to Universal Orlando.

With a Park Hopper Plus ticket to Walt Disney World you can come and go from any of the parks as you please with the Park Hopping option, and with the “Plus” option you will get 10 visits to any of the following: Blizzard Beach water park, Typhoon Lagoon water park, a round of mini golf at either of the two Disney courses, or a round of golf at Oak Trail golf course.  So, you can experience everything at Walt Disney World with a ton of flexibility. You could go to Magic Kingdom in the morning, spend a few hours at Blizzard Beach, and then go catch the fireworks at EPCOT that evening. And with the 3 park, park-to-park tickets at Universal you have the same flexibility there to come and go as you please to any of the three parks in much the same way.

The first option includes a 9 night stay at Homewood Suites by Hilton at Western Entrance. Located just minutes from all of the Disney Parks, the one bedroom suite has two Queen size beds in the bedroom and a Queen size sleeper sofa in the living room along with a dining table and full kitchen. A full hot breakfast is provided, and there is a Target very close to this hotel so it is easy to grab some snacks and groceries to have in your room to make lunch or dinner. There is a waterslide, sport courts and firepit available, so there is plenty to do on a rest day.

Also included in this option is a 4 night stay at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort. The family suite here includes two Queen beds and a sleeper sofa and it also has a kitchenette. There are 2 amazing pools to enjoy and you are a short walk or bus ride from the parks.

Also included in this price is a full size car rental for the entire trip. Not included is airfare or travel insurance. The total price for this option, from June 30-July 13, 2024 , is $11,269.

The second option is a 13 night stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando – Disney Springs Area. Located a short drive from both Universal and Walt Disney World, your family can set up for a long stay in a 2 room suite that has a separate living room area with a sleeper sofa and kitchenette and a bedroom with 2 Queen beds. There is a free hot breakfast every morning and a free “kickback” every day from 5:30-7:30 PM that includes free hot food and cold beverages. The large pool and splash pad give you options for rest day relaxation, and you are just down the street from Disney Springs where you can shop, dine and people watch. A full-size car rental is also included in the price. The total, which does not include airfare or travel insurance, for a stay from June 30-July 13, 2024, is $12,355.
